The Best Way for Me to Make a Difference

Sometimes I feel afraid to write because there are so many thoughts that need to come out. I feel that I will offend the ones that are not permitted to surface.

The words are there - inside my mind waiting patiently to aid me in expressing my thoughts. All I have to do is write.

I want to make a difference in the world. I am sixty seven years old and have led a selfish life caring only for myself, my children, relatives, and close friends while traveling and enjoying life to the fullest as I know it. There have been many difficult obstacles to climb and overcome; but he good times overshadowed these.

Now it is time for me to make a difference. I have cheated the world from ever knowing the capabilities of my mind and the accomplishments I could have attained to make a difference such as becoming a doctor and discovering a cure for AIDS or becoming a lawyer and saving someone's innocent life from death row. These are examples of things I could have done. Now is the time for me to choose a manner in which to benefit the world "as a whole".

I have decided that the best "all around" way for me to do this is to concentrate on feelings and emotions. This concentration has led me to the animal.
